The most difficult obstacles to quitting occurs in the first few days. This is when your body is flushing nicotine through your body, with no replenishments in sight. It’s all you can do to stop thinking about smoking. You are experiencing withdrawal from a substance you’ve had in your body for, probably, many years. Other unpleasant symptoms include sweating, sometimes profusely and at the most inopportune time, a hair trigger temper and sensations of toxins racing through your bloodstream. Insomnia and irrationality can also pose a considerable problem.

While the majority of the nicotine and other nasty chemicals contained in cigarettes is flushed from your system in the first 72 hours, your next obstacle is overcoming the psychological desires. Others, when thinking through a problem, light up to enhance their concentration. This process can be quite a bit more manageable if you join a Rancho Bernardo’s help quitting smoking forum.

Product Description

A new edition of the revolutionary bestseller, with four million copies in print. Allen Carr’s innovative Easyway method—which he discovered after his own 100-cigarette-a-day habit nearly drove him to despair—has helped millions kick smoking without feeling anxious and deprived. That’s because he helps smokers discover the psychological reasons behind their dependency, explains in detail how to handle the withdrawal symptoms, shows them how to avoid situations when temptation might become too strong, and enables them to stay smoke-free. Carr discusses such issues as nicotine addiction; the social “brainwashing” that encourages smoking; the false belief that a cigarette relieves stress; the role boredom plays in sabotaging efforts to stop; and the main reasons for failure. With this proven program, smokers will be throwing away their packs for good.

I had tried to quit for years. After this book, I have successfully quit smoking for over 2 years. I never thought I would finally kick the habit.
Don't Let The Detractors Sway You.

Reviewer: Alan J. Norman,

Lets keep this as simple as possible.

#1. I was ready to quit smoking after trying hundreds of times over the course of 10 years.

#2. Saw this book at Barnes and Noble, bought it that night.

#3. Quit smoking the very next day. Read book all the way through over the course of 3 days.

#5. On day 5 now, smoke free for life and I LOVE IT!

This book works. Let it work for you. To all the people who gave this book 1 star and disrespected the author and his mission, shame on you. You werent strong enough to cut it. Bottom line. This book will change your life. Let it in.
It really works.

Reviewer: George A. Rattner,
This book has helped even some of the worst tobacco fiends - as long as they actually had wanted to stop. It made it much easier to stop than I expected it to be, and even helped me not to relapse again as I've done in the past. It's been about five years since I had my last cigarette and the best part is that I never felt the nicotine urge again.
it works

Reviewer: steven,
I smoked about 7 years. I was recommended this book by a friend who swears by it.
I read it quite quickly because as soon as you start reading, Carr makes you excited to quit smoking.
I kept my mind open when I read it and I finished it in a few days. I haven't had a cigarette in
6 weeks. Don't expect a miracle cure. You still have withdraws pangs, but the book shows you
that you don't have to suffer from them.
The book is very approachable because you are instructed not to stop smoking until you finish the book.
Buy it. What have you got to lose?

According to Narcanon, many former heroin addicts claim that quitting smoking is more difficult than kicking heroin! In large part, this is probably due to the fact that cigarettes are legal and readily available, 24 hours a day. Nonetheless, you can see why so many people fail many times before they meet with that glorious success. If you want to quit smoking for good, do yourself a favor and check out the many online quit smoking forums. Good luck!
